Bank Account Verification

Bank Account Verification helps confirm that a payee’s bank account details are valid before ACH payments are sent. This adds an extra layer of confidence when a payee chooses ACH as their deposit method.

In CashCloud, Bank Account Verification is used for payees only. A payee may complete this step during Payee Onboarding or during PayShift if they choose ACH as their preferred way to receive a payment.

When Bank Account Verification Is Required

Bank Account Verification is available when a payee selects ACH as their deposit method.

This can happen when you send a payee an onboarding invitation and ACH is one of the available deposit methods. It can also happen during PayShift, when a payee receives an email asking how they would like to be paid and chooses ACH.

If ACH is not available as a deposit option, or if the payee already has a preferred deposit method saved, Bank Account Verification is not triggered.

How Verification Fees Work

Bank Account Verification is a pay-per-use feature paid with CashCloud Credits.

When you start an action that may require verification, CashCloud will show an estimated cost before you continue. This estimate is based on the number of payees who may need to complete Bank Account Verification.

You are not charged right away. Credits are only deducted once the payee successfully completes Bank Account Verification.

If the payee never completes verification, if the invitation is canceled, or if the payee completes verification another way, no CashCloud Credits are deducted.

Bank Account Verification fees may vary based on your plan. To confirm your pricing, please refer to your contract or visit our pricing page.

What Happens If You Don’t Have Enough Credits

Before sending onboarding invitations or moving payments through PayShift with ACH available, CashCloud checks your CashCloud Credits balance.

If you have enough credits for the estimated cost, you can continue as usual.

If your balance is too low, CashCloud will ask you to top up your credits before continuing. You may also see an option to enable Auto Recharge, which helps prevent payment delays when pay-per-use features require credits.

Where to View Verification Charges

Completed Bank Account Verification charges appear in Plans & Billing, under the Billing History tab.

The billing item will appear as Bank Account Verification, with CashCloud Credits listed as the payment method. From there, you can view the billing details, download the invoice, or view the statement.
