What Is Payee Onboarding?
Payee Onboarding allows payees to review and confirm their information before receiving payments through CashCloud.
During onboarding, payees are asked to confirm details such as their pay-to name, address, and phone number. If they select ACH as their preferred deposit method, they can securely complete Bank Account Verification or enter their bank account and routing numbers manually.
If your company has enabled Vendor Business Verification, vendors and contractors will also go through a business and tax verification step during onboarding.
Once an onboarding invitation is sent, the payee moves from the Payees tab to the Pending Invitations tab until they complete the process.
đ Note: Payee Onboarding is an additional service that must first be activated by your company's Owner. There is an additional fee for each Bank Account Verification. Refer to your contract for more details.
How to Invite Payees to Onboard
From the Payees module you can invite payees to onboard in a few different ways, depending on whether youâre creating a new payee, working with an existing payee, or onboarding multiple payees at once.
Invite a New Payee
To invite a new payee, click New payee and select Invite payees.
Invite an Existing Payee
If the payee already exists in your Active Payees table but has not been onboarded yet, open the overflow menu on that payeeâs row and select Initiate onboarding.
Invite Multiple Payees
To invite multiple payees at once, select the payees from the table and click Initiate onboarding from the bulk actions menu.
Resending Onboarding
If a payee has already completed onboarding, you can still resend the onboarding invitation when needed. This is helpful if you want the payee to verify their information again or add a different bank account.
To resend onboarding for one payee, open the overflow menu for an onboarded payee and select Resend onboarding.
To resend onboarding in bulk, select multiple onboarded payees and click Resend onboarding from the bulk actions menu.
