Learn how to reset a forgotten CashCloud password and what your new password needs to include.

How to Reset Your Password

On the CashCloud sign-in page, click Forgot password? below the password field. Enter the email address linked to your account, then click Send reset link.

You’ll see a Check your email message. Open the email from CashCloud with the subject line Reset your CashCloud password, then click Reset my password.

⚠️ Important: Reset links expire after 30 minutes and can only be used once.

On the Set a new password screen, enter your new password in New password, then enter it again in Confirm new password. As you type, a strength indicator below the field shows whether your password is Weak, Fair, or Strong. When your password meets all the requirements below, click Update password.

You’ll go back to the sign-in page, where you’ll see a message confirming that your password has been updated. Sign in with your new password to continue. CashCloud won’t sign you in automatically.

Password Requirements

Your new password must:

  • Be at least 12 characters long (and no more than 72)

  • Include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character, or be a passphrase

  • Be different from your previous password

A passphrase is four or more words separated by spaces. It doesn’t need uppercase letters, numbers, or special characters, but it still needs to be at least 12 characters long. Many people find a passphrase easier to remember than a mix of symbols.

If something doesn’t meet the requirements, a message appears below the field as you type, so you can fix it before you submit. The same requirements apply when you create a new CashCloud account.

If Your Reset Link Has Expired

If your link is more than 30 minutes old or has already been used, you’ll see a screen that says This reset link can’t be used. Click Request a new link, and we’ll send a fresh reset email to the same address.

Didn’t Receive the Email?

Reset emails usually arrive within a few minutes. If you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folder, and make sure you entered the email address linked to your CashCloud account.

Signing In with SSO or Google

Password resets only apply to accounts that sign in with an email address and password. If you sign in with Single Sign-On (SSO) or with Google, you won’t receive a reset email from CashCloud. Instead, reset your password through your company’s sign-in provider or your Google account, or contact your company’s IT team. To learn more, check out our article on How to Enable Single Sign-On (SSO).

Password Change Confirmation

After your password is updated, we’ll send you a confirmation email with the subject line Your CashCloud password has been updated. If you didn’t make this change, use the link in that email to reset your password right away.
