Set Your Company Time Zone

Learn how to set a company-wide time zone so that dates are filtered and displayed consistently for every user in your account.

Written by CashCloud Team

By default, CashCloud uses each user’s local device time zone to display and filter dates. This can cause problems when your team is spread across different locations — users in different time zones may see different results when filtering for the same date. Setting a company time zone fixes this by giving everyone in your account a single, shared reference for all date filters.

How to set your company time zone

Go to Settings → Company → Preferences. Under the Time zone section, click the Company time zone dropdown and select the time zone your company operates in. The dropdown is searchable — you can type a city or region name to find your time zone quickly.

Once you’ve made your selection, click Save. A confirmation message will appear to let you know the change was applied. You’ll also see the current local time for your selected time zone displayed below the dropdown, so you can confirm you’ve picked the right one.

👀 Note: Only company Owners can update this setting.

What changes when you update the time zone

Once saved, the new time zone applies to all date filters across CashCloud — including Positive Pay manual generation, Reports, and any other module where you filter by date. This change applies to all users in your account, regardless of where they’re located or what time zone their device is set to.

This change applies from the moment you save it forward. Records that already exist in your account keep the time zone they were created in — no historical data is re-displayed or recalculated.

⚠️ Important: If you change your company time zone, date filters will shift accordingly. For example, filtering for “today” will now return records for today in the new time zone. Make sure your team is aware of any time zone change before it goes into effect.

Scheduled jobs are handled separately

Scheduled jobs — including automatic Positive Pay generation, ACH configuration, scheduled disbursements, and data group imports — are not affected by this setting. Jobs that already exist keep the time zone configured on them individually. New scheduled jobs will default to your company time zone, but you can change it per job at any time.

If you’ve just updated your company time zone and want to review or update your scheduled jobs to match, go to the relevant module: Banks → Positive Pay, Banks → ACH Configuration, Workflows → Outputs, or your data group settings.
